Kia Ora,
We would like to take this opportunity to contact all parents, caregivers and whanau, to assure you all of the ongoing commitment we have towards our children and extended families in the light of the recent circumstances surrounding COVID-19.
At present, we are in daily contact with the Ministry of Education to ensure we are adhering to all guidelines. Our Health and safety policies and procedures have always been in correlation to those stated by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health.
We are aware that discussions have started at ministerial level about potential school closures and the Ministry of Health and Education are currently corresponding with their overseas counterparts. We continue to take advice from the Ministry and can assure you that we will follow their directives in a timely and up to date manner.
The following events have been postponed until further notice

  • 2020 Celebrations
  • POD mass
  • Stations of the cross
  • All cluster sports days.

Here is the current advice to us all: Everybody should follow the following basic principles to reduce the risk of getting an acute respiratory infection or passing it on to others:

  • regularly washing hands for at least 20 seconds with warm water and soap and dry thoroughly.
  • covering your mouth and nose when you sneeze.
  • avoiding close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms.
  • if you feel unwell you should avoid public gatherings and events.
